From 16-22 July 23, the Scouts and Scouters of Troop 1214 traveled north to Resica Falls Scout Reservation near the Pocono Mountains in PA. The Scouts had an amazing time as a Troop, earning a lot of Merit Badges along the way. The Waterfront/Lake, STEM and Ecology areas, and the Troop canoe trip down the Delaware River were the highlights of the week. Our First Year Scouts participated in the Resica Rangers Program, where they learned basic Scouting skills and worked on numerous Advancement requirements. Plus they had the opportunity to earn their Nature & Exploration merit badges. We had a lot of Scouts take advantage of the spectacular lake opportunities with Small Boat Sailing, Kayaking, Fishing & Fly fishing, and a couple of the older Scouts even took an ATV certification course.
These are just a few of the hundreds of pictures taken by our dedicated Scouters during the week! Thanks to an amazing staff that went out of their way to support the Troop with any last minute changes or challenges. The Troop definitely enjoyed the weather this year with the cooler days and perfect sleeping weather at night!
