Ahead of Memorial Day, Scouts of Boy Scout Troop 1214 had the profound honor of visiting Annapolis National Cemetery to place American flags at the gravesites of our nation’s fallen heroes. Walking through those rows is a powerful reminder of the true cost of our freedom. It was incredibly moving to see our youth show such deep reverence, taking the time to read the names on the headstones and ensure each flag was placed with care and respect.
We are so proud of these scouts for understanding that Memorial Day is more than just a long weekend—it’s a time to remember, honor, and teach the next generation about the sacrifices made for us all.
“Our debt to the heroic men and valiant women in the service of our country can never be repaid. They have earned our undying gratitude.” — Harry S. Truman
To all those who gave everything, and to the families they left behind: we will never forget. This Memorial Day, may we all strive to live lives worthy of their sacrifice.
